I bought a prism and I tested it on Indie.…
Indie’s almost 12, yet I’ve never let her off the lead. Well, that’s not true. There were a couple of occasions and she ran away. She follows her nose—even if that puts her in dangerous situations. It does mean she never gets much of a chance to stretch her legs and run around.
Somebody on Facebook posted about a dog run in Glasgow and by the next day I’d booked a 30 minute slot for Indie. I didn’t know what to expect, so I packed a ball and some toys for her to run around with. It turns out she never left my side and just wanted to dig in the snow. It was very cute.
Indie went under anaesthetic for another operation. Fortunately the lump was fatty. It disintegrated as the vet touched it. Great news!
I was dreading the recovery period as it wasn’t fun when we went through it earlier this year. However, Indie has bounced back really well. I think it’s because they didn’t have to remove a big margin around the lump, so the recovery has been easier.
Love you, girl!
Happy birthday, Indie. Although I’m not 100% sure when her birthday is, I got Indie from the SSPCA in November 2006. I was told she was around 6 months old at that point, which means her birthday is some time around now.
This year has been tough. Indie had a tumour cut out and got pancreatitis in the space of 4 weeks. She’s definitely back to her normal self now, which I’m relieved about. Love you, girl!
Every week for 52 weeks I took a photo of my dog. I thought it’d be a great idea; I was snapping photos of Indie all the time and figured it would be nice to look back on in the future. To begin with I had a lot of enthusiasm for the ‘project’, but towards the end became lazy and dragged my heels. There are some photos here that make me cringe, but pushing myself as a photographer wasn’t what this collection was about.
It’s about Indie and how much she warms my heart on a daily basis, therefore capturing my life with her for a short period of time. I don’t know much about Indie’s background; how old she is or how many homes she’s had (I know I am at least her third, and she is probably about 7 years old now), but I know she is a lot of fun to have in my life and that’s why I took these photos.
