Happy Birthday, Indie

Happy birthday, Indie. Although I’m not 100% sure when her birthday is, I got Indie from the SSPCA in November 2006. I was told she was around 6 months old at that point, which means her birthday is some time around now.

This year has been tough. Indie had a tumour cut out and got pancreatitis in the space of 4 weeks. She’s definitely back to her normal self now, which I’m relieved about. Love you, girl!

Cheeky Face

It’s been a while since I’ve shared Blake’s cheeky face. He’s growing up fast and my sister is doing a wonderful job of being a mother. He’s definitely hitting the terrible twos!

I Love Coffee

I love coffee. Living in Finnieston means there’s no shortage of coffee spots. This latte with coconut milk (I usually drink my coffee black, but this is a sweet change) was from The Cran. I also like their cakes.

Indie Is My Best Friend

I got Indie from Cardonald Cat and Dog Home when she was 6 months old. She’s now approaching 11 and—while I have noticed her slow down and her fur turn grey—she’s still going strong. Yesterday we went out a slow, 30 minute run and she kept up the with me the whole way.

Indie is my best friend.

Happy New Year!

Indie and I are wishing you all a happy new year from Glasgow in Scotland. I promise to take more photos in 2017. My blog is feeling a little neglected, but it’s purely because I’ve been focusing on building Jack. Photography is still important to me. I hope you have a creative year ahead!

Merry Christmas

This Christmas was exciting. My nephew is old enough to now interact with his presents. He loved unwrapping and exploring them. He was especially enamoured with his Thomas the Tank Engine bubble machine. LOOK AT THAT FACE.

Mussels For One

Last week, I took myself to Distil for some lunch. I like spending time on my own. I enjoyed Beavertown Neck Oil and some Shetland mussels, house cured bacon and fresh herb broth. It was one of the most enjoyable lunches I’ve had.

Alternative shot on my Instagram.

Coffee Makes Everything Possible

Coffee, video games, my dog. That’s life.

Hal

This is Hal. Do yourself a favour and check out his Instagram. He’s just moved to Glasgow from down South.

Straight Up Portrait

Spent some time with Rab today, a fellow photographer. It feels good to shoot a straight up portrait. It’s been a while since I’ve picked up my camera for just ‘me’. The aim of our day, however, was a tour of some of Glasgow’s indie coffee shops. Stay tuned for those photos…
