First Week Back

I enjoy the first week back at work after the holidays. January is always a busy month, and this year is no exception. I have a project with work to tie up, and the inaugural Glasgow Photo Walk will be kicking off mid-month. My first wedding of the year is this weekend. Based in a remote part of Scotland, I’m looking forward to the scenic drive and overnight stay in a hotel. I also have a birthday to celebrate, although I’m undecided how I want to celebrate it. I’ve recently got back into gaming, so part of me wants to celebrate with a PlayStation 4. Lastly, I’ve been increasing my training this month for a 10 miler in April. I’ve already shed a bit of weight, which I’ve been tracking with my Withings scale. I hope everyone is as pleased about being back at work as I am!

    Playstation 4? Left Xbox then?

  2. Matt Clark says:

Just checked out the Withings scale, £130 is a lot for scales, do you find the features useful?

    • Ashley says:

There is a cheaper Withings scale for £80. It’s still a lot of money. But yes, I like the app for tracking my weight, and it syncs nicely to my Jawbone Up. Oh man, I sound like a gadget freak!

  3. Murray says:

    Sony’s ‘vision’?

Man you’ve changed….what about the games? I’ve got one and it’s great. I’m sure PS4 is as well but I won’t be buying a console cos of a vision 🙂

  4. Murray says:

I did. I can only assume you assume it’s still the same. It’s not.

    • Ashley says:

It certainly demonstrated Microsoft’s vision, though, which MS would have charged ahead with had it not been for the outrage amongst gamers. After that, it didn’t sit right with me. I’ve been recommending Xbox One to casual gamers and those looking for a multimedia stack, but I think the PlayStation 4 is going to be a great console for the more hardcore gamer. And each to their own, it’s no big deal! Enjoy yer Xbox.
