What I Packed for California

I was determined not to check-in luggage for my trip to California. I took just one, carry-on bag that I got from Trakke and I was able to fit all of my belongings in it (not pictured: make-up bag). For this trip I wasn’t fussed about my hair being on point, I was more interested in making space for my camera and hiking shoes. I wore most of my ‘heavy’ clothes on the plane there and back.

Gosh, I could definitely get used to travelling without checked luggage.

Treats From Joli

I’d much rather spend my money on gadgets than clothes. These gadgets are my livelihood, so I better take good care of them. But I haven’t always felt that way. In fact, I used to be pretty careless with my ‘stuff’.

My last laptop had a nasty dent on it from dropping it during a Skype call, and my previous iPhone had its screen replaced 3 times (within 4 months, might I add). It was time to invest in a beautiful iPhone and laptop case.

The smooth collection from Joli caught my eye—particularly the brown leather with aqua lining. They arrived this morning alongside a handwritten note. I love them!

Joshua Porter

On Sunday I followed Joshua around on his shoot with Adam. I took a bunch of behind the scenes photos of Joshua being a pro, which you will see… eventually. Afterwards I got a glimpse into how Joshua edits his photos, which is an interesting insight. I should watch other photographer’s process more often.

My Office

Fancy seeing where I edit my photos? Sure you do. This is one corner of my office. I moved in a couple of months ago and haven’t decorated the place. To be honest, aside from putting a few pictures up and getting rid of those nasty curtains, I’m not sure what I will do. As long as I’ve got my iMac and Aperture (and coffee), it’s all good.
