Brunch At Wilson Street Pantry

Whenever friends visit Glasgow, I struggle to settle on where to take them for brunch. This is because Glasgow has so many good spots.

Scott and I found ourselves in the city centre—where options are a bit more limited—so we headed to Merchant City for brunch at Wilson Street Pantry.

The light was as lovely as the food and coffee.

Fifi and Ally

Brunch with Miss Connolly is a regular occurrence at the weekend. We’ve uncovered a few good spots as of late, namely St Louis on Dumbarton Road. I guess there had to be a bad egg in there somewhere, and that bad egg was Fifi and Ally. A stingy portion in comparsion to the same dish at Tribeca or St Louis, yet priced the same as the latter. But what was worse, for me, was the maple syrup that was listed as accompanying the waffle wasn’t even syrup; it was honey.

I take my cheat meal seriously, and this was a total waste. I won’t be back.
