I love visiting Kelvingrove Cafe as they have an outstanding selection of cocktails. It’s also dog friendly. Get a table and enjoy people watching whilst sipping a cocktail and hanging out with your dog.
On Friday I went to The Finnieston’s pop-up gin bar as part of a 5PM deal. I love gin, but I’m disappointed when it’s served with the wrong garnish or the bartender doesn’t take pride in its presentation.
This wasn’t the case on Friday. We were presented with a list of premium, Scottish gin and tonics of which we could choose three. Jamie, our bartender, gave us recommendations based on our preferences and told us a bit about each gin.
They went down a little too well. I have to admit we didn’t stop at 3.
Living in Finnieston, I drink at The Finnieston quite often. Their gin cocktail, The Nautical, is my favourite. It was really nice to spend some time in their upstairs bar, which I didn’t even know existed, and have more of an intimate setting with the bartender who could talk us through our drinks.
Ooh, I finally got around to checking out Alchemilla, one of Finnieston’s newest food spots. I’ll leave the food review to Briony, but I will say I enjoyed both the grub and the drink. I’ll definitely be back. Bonus points for being dog friendly, too!
