Lindsay Connolly

Tomorrow I am photographing Lindsay’s sister, Kaitlin. I photographed Kaitlin – who is an aspiring model – a year ago for my sister’s make-up palette, Little Black Book. My mind hasn’t been on photography at all this week, so it will be nice to step away from my computer and hopefully get the creative juices flowing.

Kelvingrove Museum

This week has been heavy and intense and busy and at 4.30pm today I looked up from my computer and thought “Shit, I need some social interaction”. Two other friends had blown me off, which set my craving for some company into overdrive. It was “taps aff” in Glasgow, so Lindsay and I grabbed a coffee or two at Kelvingrove and enjoyed the sun and some random banter with the locals. Love Glasgow.

Laurence Deveney

So, I took Laurence to Tribeca over the weekend to get these pancakes I won’t stop talking about. Actually, I had the french toast this time. I think I prefer it. Anyway, it was one of those extremely bitter days, which you can probably tell by the look of Laurence. I’ve always said I like winter, but this year I seem to have gone off it and am weirdly pining for some warmer weather. I hate the bulky clothes and shoes we have to wear in this weather, it makes me feel huge. I’d gladly walk around naked. I’ll do it if you do.

Firepie

Gary, Gary, Gary. Are you sick of seeing Gary’s face yet? ‘Cos there are still a few days left with him until he flies to the other side of the world for his 3 month tour with the Chilli Pipers. Seriously, there aren’t many people I can spend a great deal of time with, but Gary is one of them. I will miss him, but I’m sure the 3 months will pass quickly. When he returns it will be Christmas! I will almost be 25! Shit.

Kids

Life has been a bit heavy lately, it sure is tough being an adult. I look at this photo I took over the weekend and can’t help but feel nostalgia for the age where there were few responsibilities, any ‘problems’ were truly trivial (at least in my very relaxed childhood). Having said that, I wouldn’t give the independence of being an adult up for anything; even mornings watching Biker Mice from Mars and afternoons at the skate park.
