Kelvingrove Museum

This week has been heavy and intense and busy and at 4.30pm today I looked up from my computer and thought “Shit, I need some social interaction”. Two other friends had blown me off, which set my craving for some company into overdrive. It was “taps aff” in Glasgow, so Lindsay and I grabbed a coffee or two at Kelvingrove and enjoyed the sun and some random banter with the locals. Love Glasgow.

Charlene Kerr

A fellow drummer, although I feel dirty calling myself one these days, Charlene and I met at music college and quickly became friends. We decided to walk towards Paisley one sunny evening with Indie, my dog. Three hours later and I was actually carrying my pup home because she was exhausted. I am enjoying these lighter, warmer evenings. Keep it up, Mother Nature.

Miss C.

The beautiful woman you see in this picture is one of my oldest friends. As a kid she was my neighbour, and we hit up the same primary and high school together. Despite Lindsay having travelled the world, we’ve always kept in touch. It seems crazy that we live in the same city, have something ridiculous like 17 years of shared memories behind us, yet rarely meet up. I hope to change that.

Sam Brown

After a year since I last saw him, I finally got to catch up with Sam last week. Sam plays video games (although not as much as he should), is a UI designer developer, and gets to travel to New York for work. We took some photos in a rainy Glasgow, and I introduced him to one of my favourite coffee shops, The Hidden Lane Tearoom. By the time we had finished our coffee, the sun was out and I shot right into it with the tiltshift lens. It produced some psychedelic results.

The start of Summer

This weekend saw me road trip to Newcastle, a city I’m becoming rather fond of for its vibrance and bridges (it reminds me of home!). We had just left an overcast Glasgow and were surprised to feel the heat upon pulling up at the Marriott hotel at the MetroCentre. It officially felt like summer.
