A Weekend Retreat To Inveraray

Every time I’ve driven past Loch Fyne Hotel and Spa, I’ve thought to myself I have to stay there. This weekend, Naomi and I spent three nights at Loch Fyne Hotel and Spa. We enjoyed good food, red wine, horror movies and a 90 minute massage. It was the most fun I’ve had in a long time and I’m a little disappointed to be back to reality!

Hal

This is Hal. Do yourself a favour and check out his Instagram. He’s just moved to Glasgow from down South.

Straight Up Portrait

Spent some time with Rab today, a fellow photographer. It feels good to shoot a straight up portrait. It’s been a while since I’ve picked up my camera for just ‘me’. The aim of our day, however, was a tour of some of Glasgow’s indie coffee shops. Stay tuned for those photos…

A New Project Is Brewing

My adopted big brother, Dan, returned to Glasgow yet again. Not for another photo walk (I’ve canned those), but to work on an upcoming project we have bubbling away. I’m excited about this.

Ayden’s Ink

In the short time I’ve known Ayden, her hair has changed colour from brunette to pink, blonde to blue. But one thing has remained the same—Ayden is covered in colourful tattoos. I photographed (some of) them.

Bumbag

Ayden has such an interesting approach to fashion. I mean, she is wearing a bumbag in these photos. Remember those?

I, on the other hand, am guilty of never trying anything different when it comes to fashion, and I’m becoming increasingly lazier. It’s not uncommon for me to wear my gym gear to work.

I’m envious whenever I see Ayden, with her colourful clothes, hair and tattoos.

The Wilson Street Pantry

I love a deli. I recently discovered The Wilson Street Pantry in Merchant City. Its iced coffee and coolers lured me in on a hot day, and I returned this evening for the wine, deli board and chocolate brownie. Both Lindsay and I left feeling stuffed.

Friendly staff, lovely food, nice light. 10/10.

Bubble Tea Summer

It’s raining. Again. I decided to look through my photos from the 3 days of summer we had, coming to the conclusion that bubble tea is perfect for summer days. I miss both bubble tea and summer days.

3 Days Of Summer

Scotland had its 3 days of summer last week. Alas, I was in a hospital for 2 of them with a respiratory infection. Boo. Upon being discharged, Dan—who was in Scotland for Glasgow Photo Walk—and I headed to Merchant City for iced coffee (check out Wilson Street Pantry if you’re in the area). Merchant City has a lot of graffitied and textured walls, making for the perfect portrait backdrop.
