Lyle Hill

On my way to the dentist this morning, I purposely took my camera so I could stop off at Lyle Hill and take some photos. Lyle Hill overlooks Gourock and is – whatever the weather – undoubtedly a beautiful place. One thing I’ve realised about myself is that I enjoy being up high. I like being high. It makes me feel at peace, and any issues with my business or crazy ex-boyfriends feels far away, almost non-existent. I’m going to spend more of my life being up high, okay?

Also, I enquired about straightening out my vampire teeth at the dentist. The guy said you can get adult braces that are barely visible and only need worn for 6 months. This made me very excited until he mentioned they are £2500. Suddenly I am okay with my vampire teeth.

Mar Hall

A random evening spent slightly outwith my comfort zone, in the company of many a rich man looking to source a new Range Rover, with free champagne on tap and canopies I couldn’t pronounce. Welcome to the unveiling of the new Range Rover. I tagged along with my friend, neither of us looking to buy a car, but both of us looking forwards to the fashion show (and the free champagne on tap and canopies I couldn’t pronounce).

All these shots were snapped from the comfort of my own seat amongst the crowd. Not from laziness, but because I love the spectator’s perspective of the fashion show.

The Great Scottish Outdoors

This has to be the hottest day of the year so far, right? My pink shoulders are testament to this. My friend and I decided to jump in the Mini, speed out of the city and spend the day beach and forest hopping. We also brought my dog, Indie, which was a bit of a gamble as she doesn’t travel well, but we all had lots of fun. Gah, Scotland is so pretty!

Gourock Highland Games

I thought this would be interesting for those of you living outside of Britain, who maybe want a wee glimpse into Scottish culture. This is as cliche as it gets; rain, bagpipes and men in skirts. I tried to find a picture with a ginger person in it, but I didn’t want to take a photo of myself, okay?

Anyway, this was the Gourock Highland Games. I had a press pass for shooting it, but I really just wanted to use it as an opportunity to take some candid snaps of people in the crowd. There are some interesting people out there…
