What I Packed for California

I was determined not to check-in luggage for my trip to California. I took just one, carry-on bag that I got from Trakke and I was able to fit all of my belongings in it (not pictured: make-up bag). For this trip I wasn’t fussed about my hair being on point, I was more interested in making space for my camera and hiking shoes. I wore most of my ‘heavy’ clothes on the plane there and back.

Gosh, I could definitely get used to travelling without checked luggage.

Treats From Joli

I’d much rather spend my money on gadgets than clothes. These gadgets are my livelihood, so I better take good care of them. But I haven’t always felt that way. In fact, I used to be pretty careless with my ‘stuff’.

My last laptop had a nasty dent on it from dropping it during a Skype call, and my previous iPhone had its screen replaced 3 times (within 4 months, might I add). It was time to invest in a beautiful iPhone and laptop case.

The smooth collection from Joli caught my eye—particularly the brown leather with aqua lining. They arrived this morning alongside a handwritten note. I love them!

Coronet Folding Camera

Somehow, I’ve found myself in possession of this camera—a Coronet 120 film camera, dating back to 1926. 1926! I’m unsure if it’s in working condition, or even how to use it in the first place. At the very least it will make a pretty ornament on my coffee table. I can’t comprehend the amazing sights this camera has captured.

What’s In My Bag

MacBook Pro, Kindle (and case my sister made), passport, Prague travel book (because I’ll be there on Thursday!), Moleskine diary so I can keep my life relatively organised, Pacman Moleskine where all my ideas and thoughts and lists go, Caffè Nero loyalty card for those Chai Lattes I drink, Zombrex pen from the special edition of Dead Rising 2, Bose headphones because I listen to a lot of music. What’s in your bag?
