French Lollipops In A Scottish Fishing Village

I hate to be the cliché that every British person is by bringing the weather into it, but seriously, we had Summer for a whole 4 consecutive days this year! We caught the last of it yesterday evening by taking my Mini to Arrochar, investigating an abandoned house, getting food posion (I don’t think James will be rushing back to McDonalds any time soon), and watching suicidal kayakers. It’s nights like these that make Summer special.

The Great Scottish Outdoors

This has to be the hottest day of the year so far, right? My pink shoulders are testament to this. My friend and I decided to jump in the Mini, speed out of the city and spend the day beach and forest hopping. We also brought my dog, Indie, which was a bit of a gamble as she doesn’t travel well, but we all had lots of fun. Gah, Scotland is so pretty!

Glasgow’s Gallery of Modern Art

A reflection of Glasgow’s Royal Exchange Square in a pair of sunglasses, in particular the Gallery of Modern Art. I’m loving this warm weather we’re experiencing. This was taken while enjoying some al fresco Mojitos yesterday afternoon at The Social.

Early Summer Nights

These warm evenings are making me feel summery, even if it is only April. I can’t wait to get some garden furniture for my terrace and enjoy a few ice cold ciders out there. Last night, however, my friend Gary and I enjoyed dinner and Diet Cokes at Nando’s. Seriously, you can’t go wrong with a Nando’s, but a Nando’s at golden hour = perfection.

The start of Summer

This weekend saw me road trip to Newcastle, a city I’m becoming rather fond of for its vibrance and bridges (it reminds me of home!). We had just left an overcast Glasgow and were surprised to feel the heat upon pulling up at the Marriott hotel at the MetroCentre. It officially felt like summer.
