The Scottish Fashion Awards

Yesterday evening, I had my first opportunity to play paparazzi at the Scottish Fashion Awards. It turns out I was way underprepared in my first attempt at photographing the red carpet. Grown men bring stepladders, which gave all 5’6 of me no chance at a decent view. That’s okay, I’ll just frame the VIP’s with shoulders and heads and hats.

Admittedly I didn’t recognise most of the attendees, but this is because I have very little fashion sense and don’t read glossy magazines. I was most excited about seeing Alexa Chung and Karen Gillan, the latter failing to make an appearance when I was there. My sister got her picture taken with Karen, though, as she was attending the actual events.

So yes, what follows are unconventional photos of celebrities and paparazzi shoulders.

  1. Ashley these are fab!! Far better than some of the ones I seen in this mornings paper. Millie MacIntoch looks stunning.

  2. Callum says:

I like these shots. Papped shots show how facially haggard and “real” most people in the fashion world really are unlike the photoshopped photo’s they put out in magazines and advertising.

  3. Chrissie says:

I really enjoyed those. I think you did a wonderful job with those! 🙂 Congrats to your sister to getting her photo taken with Karen!
