Tiltshifting and Street Shooting

I don’t even remember this weekend, it went by in a flash. I do remember getting out of bed on the Saturday and going to Glasgow’s lighthouse, thinking it would be a great spot to try out the tiltshift effect. I also remember doing some street photography on my way there, because apparently I can’t go into the city without my 135.

One thing I’ve come to notice is that for the tiltshift to have a dramatic effect, you can’t be too high, and that’s where I was initially going wrong (I still have lots of improvement to make, I know). Another thing I noticed was that I was having a great time shooting in Glasgow, lots of characters and spots capturing my attention, but the second I hit Greenock, all creativity was sucked from me. Ugh.

Quite an improvement on the tiltshifted photos since the last time. Nice.

    Rad.

The pics from the rooftop (?) actually look like shots of miniatures/models… kind of blowing my mind right now.
