The past few weeks have been tough. The uncertainty of the outcome of Indie’s operation, getting the results back and it not being what I wanted to hear. And now we’re going through it again as another lump has appeared (praying it’s scar tissue or inflammation).
The hardest part about being an adult is—despite all of this going on—still having to function. I still have to run a business, handle client demands, deal with people chasing up their unanswered emails. All I want to do is press pause and give Indie my full attention.
This weekend we did press pause. We went long walks in the sunshine and relaxed on the terrace. Today we’re back at the vet. Hopefully Indie gets her stitches out and they’ll take a sample of the lump to get tested.
Maybe some of you are thinking, “It’s just a dog”. Indie has been my dog since I was 19. Now I’m 30. We’ve been together for a long time and experienced many ups and downs. Hopefully this is a temporary down before many more ups. Get well soon, Indie!
