Montparnasse Tower In Paris

The light wasn’t right. It was overcast and dusk was falling, but I wanted to see that famous view—the Eiffel Tower. As much as the Eiffel Tower took my breath away from up close, I didn’t fancy the long queues that meander around the landmark. Montparnasse had no queue and you get to see the Eiffel Tower. Win.

The light looks lovely to me—beautiful and moody.

Aside: photos like this of the Eiffel Tour always take me back a crazy memory from a trip long ago where I captured a great day, with great light, on film… and the next morning I opened the back panel of the camera without winding the film back first. I cried. I sill treasure that Paris trip though, including that memory and all the others.

  2. These are really lovely and different photos of Paris, the light is beautiful and the tones wonderful, thank you for sharing your work!

The food and that beach all look amazing. Anytime I can hear the sound of the water… it’s a great place to stay!
