During the summer I moved into a new office in the Axiom building. It’s an old warehouse of some sort—maybe an old flour mill. The windows are a lovely feature and ours looks out onto a rooftop terrace (and the Kingston bridge).…

For Ayden’s birthday we went on an alpaca trek. My alpaca was called Hamish and had the same hair colour as me.
I was in Stirling for Stirling Photography Festival when I visited Unorthodox Roasters. It was a hot day so I fancied an iced coffee, but I wasn’t expecting it to be the best iced coffee in the world. When I told the barista this she said their secret ingredient is maple syrup. It’s still secret as nobody reads my blog.
I finally made it to Potbelly in the southside. From their amazing Instagram pictures and glowing reviews from friends I felt like I was missing out. The hot cakes did not disappoint, but they were almost too pretty to eat.…
I’m so glad I walked home on this evening instead of getting a taxi. The sky was doing some interesting things.…
Platform has become one of my favourite haunts in Glasgow. It’s only open over the weekend, but I enjoy walking there with Indie, getting a beer and eating from the stalls. Unfortunately I’ve only seen the Mana Poke people once (some of the stalls rotate), which is disappointing as I fell in love with poke since trying it in California.
If you’re in Finnieston and in the mood for lunch, check out Mayze. The haggis and cheese toastie is sometimes on the special menu and it’s one of the best things I’ve tasted.
This was Indie’s mood after a mammoth photo walk on a sunny Friday evening. This old lady still surprises me with how much energy she has for a 13 year old.…
Beer is something I only started enjoying the taste of a couple of years ago. I wish I hadn’t as it’s so fattening!
One of my favourite things to do is visit a craft beer shop in Glasgow (Grunting Growler or Valhalla’s Goat) and choose drinks purely based on their branding. The PangPang Flaming-go one was my favourite, but at 6% I immediately needed a nap afterwards.…
This was a really fun day. It began with a glutes and abs class at my gym, then a 6 mile walk with Indie along the canal. Brittany and I stopped off at Pete’s coffee shop, Black Pine Coffee. Cake was had. Cake was deserved.
