I decided to revisit some of the blogs that inspired me to get into photography. I had some Twitter followers ask if I’d share them, so what follows is a list of the photographers I frequented when I first starting shooting. Maybe they’ll inspire you, too?
- Navis Photography: Tim nails both landscape and portrait photography. Tell me how you do it, Tim.
- How I Met Your Style: Incredible fashion blog.
- Justin and Mary: A husband and wife, wedding photography duo.
- Keaton Andrew: Music photographer. No longer updated, but still a healthy archive to browse.
- Vow To Remember: More wedding photography.
- Ben Haisch: Senior portraits and weddings. I love his stuff.
- Nick Onken: Fashion.
- Smitten Kitchen: Food photography. I love food. I love photography.
- Racy Steeves: THIS is how boudoir photography should be done. NSFW.
- Simon Hoegsberg: His projects are, like, woah.
- I’ve Got Friends: Eric Ryan Anderson’s portraits and stuff. Good.
- Jeremy Cowart: Don’t think he needs an introduction.
- Zack Arias: Either does this guy.
- In Bed With Sue: Sue’s pretty frank about running a photography business, and tips on posing and portrait photography, too.
Thanks for all the photo inspiration!
I’ve been getting a lot of inspiration from a photographer called Jack Davolio recently. His wedding photography makes me want to get married just so I can hire him! haha.

Thanks for sharing.
I should probably look more for blogs to follow, but I did already follow Zack Arias & Jeremy Cowart.
Zack did a photo challenge some time ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zh6zr3wKRV0 which was worth a watch while waiting for the kettle to boil …
Another excellent (IMO) blog is http://www.simplyoxford.com/ This guy isn’t pro, but takes great portraits, usually posts some kind of story to go along with the photos too.
