This weekend was fun. I headed to Edinburgh for RailsBridge, an organisation working to increase diversity in tech. There was a turnout of about 20-30 female programmers in TechCube, and – for me personally – it was great to work on an app and have an experienced programmer (teacher) I could ask questions to as I progressed.
I spent the weekend at my sister’s shop, which is next door to Casa Angelina – a vintage tearoom. It’s fairly new yet seems to have gained popularity with its afternoon tea. We didn’t quite stretch to afternoon tea, but the soup and cake I did have was very tasty.
